About this game

Hex Drop is a falling block puzzle with a twist: the well is a honeycomb. Pieces made of three to five hexagons fall from the top. Slide them, turn them and drop them into place. Fill a line from edge to edge and it bursts.

The big difference: on a hex grid a line can run three ways. Flat across, or slanting up or down. Lay one piece that finishes a flat line and a slanted line at the same time and you get a Crossroads clear. Finish lines in all three directions at once and you earn a Hex Bomb that blasts a whole patch of the board on landing. Cells above a cleared line slide down their column, so a smart drop can set off a cascade of clears.

Five ways to play:

  • Marathon: the classic endless climb. Every 10 lines the pieces fall faster.
  • Sprint 40: clear 40 lines as fast as you can and beat your best time.
  • Daily Drop: the same 100 pieces for every player, every day. Come back tomorrow for a new run.
  • Puzzle Tower: 60 tower floors. Clear the board, or every star cell, with exactly the pieces you are given.
  • Zen: no speed-up, no game over. Just stack and clear.

Features:

  • Original hex pieces, a ghost piece, a next queue and a hold slot
  • Lines glow before you drop, so you can see a slanted clear coming
  • Cascades, combos, crossroads and hex bombs, each with its own burst of light and sound
  • Rising musical notes as your combo grows
  • Bold candy colours on a warm plum night
  • Simple touch controls: drag, tap, swipe. Full keyboard support too
  • Plays offline

Easy to learn in a minute, with plenty of room to get clever. How high can you climb?
