Privacy policy
Last updated: 8 November 2026.
What we keep
- Without an account: nothing that points to you. We count visits, games played and play time ourselves (see Statistics below).
- With an account: your email address, username, a hashed password (or your Google account id if you sign in with Google), your favourites, votes, scores, achievements and recently played games.
- Makers: the games, texts and images you send in.
What for
To log you in, show your lists and leaderboards, review games, improve the site, and pay for the free games with ads. We do not sell your data.
Cookies and your choice
On your first visit we ask what you allow. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice any time under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
- Necessary (always): your session (nx_s), your language (nx_lang), form protection (nx_a) and your cookie choice (nx_consent, 6 months).
- Statistics (only with your OK): your browser remembers the day of your first and last visit, and per game the day you first played it (localStorage: nx-v, nx-gp). That shows us whether players come back. Without your OK we store nothing in your browser for statistics.
- Personalised ads (only with your OK): Google may use cookies to show ads that match your interests.
Statistics
We measure ourselves, on our own server, without scripts from other companies: which pages are viewed, which site you came from (only that site's name), device type (phone, tablet, computer), language, games played and play time, search words, clicks to the app stores, and ads. We never store your IP address. We recognise a visitor only within one day, through a code made with a new key every day that is thrown away afterwards. Single events are kept for at most 30 days; after that only daily totals remain.
Ads
We pay for free play with ads from Google AdSense: under and next to the games, sometimes a short ad before a game starts, and rewarded ads when you choose one inside a game. They load only after you made a choice. Without consent for personalised ads we show non-personalised ads, or only ads for our own games. Google processes data under its own policy: how Google uses data for ads. Ads are never on top of a game and never on account or admin pages.
Games in a frame
Games run in a frame. Our own games count anonymously how they are played (see their own privacy pages). Games by other makers run sandboxed and cannot see your account.
Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email address and an account id from Google. We never see your password.
Your rights
You can delete your account and everything in it yourself under My account › Settings. Questions or a copy of your data: support@hidesnipe.com.
